APPLY YOUR IMAGINATION TO YOUR GARDEN with this perennial that looks like an angel, Sept/Oct: stands straight & tall, and the whole stem is golden! Patrinia! Patrinia stems form a vase shape; easily grown in average, well drained soils in full sun to part shade. Its claim to fame is an abundance of yellow summer blooms, but then October flowers become gold & are stunning. Picture this!: butter yellow–planted w/Russian Sage– light lavender–the flower shapes are opposite, so you have a real contrast!
